Mission Statement

The Auburn City Fire Department, with dedication and tradition for over 150 years, continues to strive professionally and efficiently to respond to emergencies and calls of need, to provide public education, promote prevention, and protect the lives and property of all those we serve with pride and honor.

 The Auburn City Fire Department is a combination department, utilizing full time personnel augmented with volunteer personnel in all areas of service.

Insurance Classification

 The City of Auburn holds an ISO Classification of 4 (The Insurance Services Office Public Grading System).


 The Auburn City Fire Department operates from 3 fire stations with 24/7 coverage of which includes an engine company and a Duty Officer.


 The department uses the following firefighting equipment:

  • 3 Type 1 engines (Structural)
  • 2 Type 3 engines (Wildland)
  • Type 1 water tender
  • 1 Rescue unit
  • 2 Command Vehicles
