Cheryl Maki has lived in Auburn since 1974. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in business management and serves as the CEO of Maki Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. which she and her husband Randy founded in 1984.
Maki Heating and Air received the Auburn Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year award in 2006 and both of the Maki’s were recipients of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce Lifetime achievement award in 2015.
Besides her business background, Cheryl has extensive experience in public service. She was elected for a third term on the Auburn City Council in November 2016 having previously served on the Auburn City Council 1994-1998 and 2000-2004; serving as the Mayor twice during her previous tenures. She is a Life member of Soroptimist International of Auburn and was also appointed by the Governor to serve on the State Department of Water Resources, Regional Water Quality Board from 2006-2010.
Cheryl Has served on many boards and commissions during her years of community service that are too numerous to mention here. At the present time she serves on:

In honor of her many years of public service, Cheryl was awarded the Vernon Gould McCann award for community service in 2010, which is given to a community member once a year by the Auburn Journal newspaper.
Cheryl and Randy Maki have been married since 1975. They have two children Steven and Anthony and two grandchildren Andrew and Marissa.
