Auburn Transit Code of Conduct
Civil Rights Information
Auburn Transit operates its programs and services without regard to race, color, and national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Any person who believes she or he has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with Auburn Transit.
“No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.” (42 U.S.C. Section 2000d)
Auburn Transit does not operate on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day
- Washington's Birthday
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
Auburn Transit offers limited service hours on the following holidays:
- Martin Luther King Day
- Lincoln's Birthday
- Veteran's Day
- Day after Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Eve Day
- New Years Eve Day
Buses throughout the City of Auburn are fitted with lifts, so the vehicles are accessible to riders with disabilities. It’s just one of many accommodations that the region has in place to ensure equal access to public transportation.
Other arrangements for riders with disabilities include:
- Service animals are allowed on buses.
- Priority seating is available near the front of the bus.
- One attendant may ride free.
- Riders with disabilities qualify for reduced fares .
Reduced fares are available for riders with disabilities.
- Bus Passes may be purchased on all Auburn Transit buses or at Auburn City Hall located at:
1225 Lincoln Way
- Fare covers 1-way trip.
- Please have exact fare, as drivers do not have change.
- Buses are compliant with ADA requirements.

South Placer Transit Area transit services have 1 phone number, 916 or 530-745-7560 (TDD: 888-745-7885). It's your resource for Local fixed-route, Commuter and Dial-A-Ride bus information for the south Placer area:
- Placer County Transit
- Roseville Transit
- Lincoln Transit
- Health Express (for medical appointments only when public transit is not an option)
This number also allows you to call for seamless Dial-A-Ride reservations throughout the southern Placer area, and eliminates the need to call each transit agency individually.
The phone line is open daily, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Hours may vary on holidays.
